Bitvore provides unprecedented business insights from unstructured data. Our products are deployed in over seventy of the world’s largest financial institutions, allowing them to make faster and more effective decisions.

Our groundbreaking AI-powered platform delivers leading indicators of business performance for companies, industries, markets and municipal obligors. We ingests massive amounts of unstructured data (including news, press releases, SEC filings/proxy statements, earnings call transcripts and more) and uses advanced NLP and machine learning to provide material events, trended ESG, sentiment, growth and risk scoring, as well as comparative/predictive analytics to drive better business outcomes.

Consumable through file downloads, a comprehensive API and research user interfaces, Bitvore provides customers with the “crystal ball” needed to identify emerging risk and opportunity.

David Mandel
CEO, Cofounder and
Chairman

David Mandel
CEO, Cofounder and Chairman David is an active entrepreneur and tech investor who holds patents in data visualization. Prior to founding Bitvore, he was a seed investor in Broadcom, Access360
(acquired by IBM) and Fulcrum Microsystems (acquired by Intel). David was also lead investor for Innovent Systems (acquired by Broadcom).

David received his BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeff Drake
President

Jeff was the Founder and EVP of Business Development at Access360, acquired by IBM. As Founder at Access360 he worked to raise venture capital from a leading venture capital fund and also strategic investment from both Oracle and VeriSign. After the acquisition, he served as the Director of Software Security at IBM then was recruited to become the EVP of Business Development at Akana.

Most recently, he was the EVP of Corporate Development at Servicemesh, which was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC; mrkt cap $7B). Post acquisition by CSC he was the Director of Emerging Practices, and established business development programs that drove revenues for the CSC Cloud group. While at ServiceMesh, he was instrumental in raising venture capital from Ignition Partners and created strategic alliances with Dell, EMC, and Microsoft.

Vera Silver
Chief Information Officer

Vera Drake

Vera is an extremely accomplished IT executive and with over 30 years of technology leadership.  Before joining Bitvore in early 2022, Vera led global technology teams developing solutions for a multitude of businesses at Goldman Sachs, Barclays, RBC, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. She has a strong track record of success based on collaborative partnering with all layers of business leaders, building high performance teams, managing risk, driving change, enabling growth, and reducing costs.

Vera has successfully navigated through many historic challenges in the industry (both technology and finance), while still effectively guiding her organizations to transform and evolve. She has enabled firms to exploit data for strategic business decisions by delivering strong data management and integration capabilities built on solid foundations.

She is a recognized business transformation expert and innovator and was recently awarded a Constellation Research Top 150 Thought Leader. As our CIO, Vera continues to lead our technology teams through a tech-forward business strategy delivering best-in-class customer experiences.  She is focused on continuously improving next-generation capabilities through automation, growing our product and data offerings and delivering the next generation world class AI solutions for our clients.

Mike Heberle
VP, Sales & Business Development

Mike Heberle

As VP of Sales, Mike is responsible for driving sales and business development for Bitvore. Mike brings Bitvore a successful track record of more than 20+ years that includes high-profile sales leadership positions and recognized sales achievements.

Prior to joining Bitvore, Mike led North American Sales for Powerreviews. While at Powerreviews, SAAS revenues grew significantly year over year until the acquisition by Bazaarvoice in 2012.  Mike has a long distinguished career in sales, including senior sales leadership roles at Endeca Technologies (acquired by Oracle), Business Objects (acquired by SAP) and Parametric Technologies.

Greg Bolcer
Chief Data Officer

Greg is a serial entrepreneur who has founded three angel and VC-funded companies.  He’s been involved at an early stage or as an advisor to at least half a dozen more.  Greg has a PhD and BS in Information and Computer Sciences from UC Irvine and a MS from USC.

He started his career at Irvine as a researcher in Web protocols, standards, and applications under a series of DARPA-funded grants.  He formerly was the Intel Architecture chair for the Peer to Peer working group and was awarded the Distinguished Alumni of the Year in 2004 from UCI.

Alan Chaney
Chief Technology Officer

Bitvore - Alan Chaney

Alan has been instrumental in creating Bitvore’s unique architecture and leading the growth of the implementation. In his role as CTO, he is accountable for the company’s technical strategy, and how the market and product needs can be met with the latest technologies.

Alan is an expert in cloud technologies and streaming data management. His career includes Founder & CTO of Telemedia Systems, and Head of Engineering at the prestigious Cambridge UK Olivetti Research Laboratories.

Kourosh Kohanteb
Vice President, Finance

Kourosh is a seasoned finance executive, with experience spanning several industries, including hi tech, SaaS and Healthcare. Kourosh held senior positions at Fortune 500 companies, as well as executive consulting positions with various start up companies. 

He enjoyed a long growth career at Broadcom Corporation holding senior level finance leadership roles including Vice President of Finance leading Corporate Finance. During his tenure, the company grew from $0.5B to $8.4B in annual revenue.

Prior to joining Broadcom, he built a career at Western Digital, including Manufacturing controller for Asia based in Singapore. Kourosh is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and a Chartered Accountant (UK). He graduated from University of Manchester, England with an honors B.Sc. degree in Computer Information Systems.

Carlton Jenkins

Carlton Jenkins

Carlton Jenkins is a former Partner at Yucaipa Companies, one of the largest private equity funds in the world.  He was previously a board member at Krogers, the national supermarket conglomerate (NYSE:KR).

Vahid Manian

Vahid was the former Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing Operations for Broadcom, a major chip manufacturing company. Vahid served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for
Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) and was a founding member of Broadcom’s Operations organization, driving revenues from zero dollars to >$10B annual sales. Additionally, Vahid was the COO
of Ethertronics Corporation, developing and productizing an “Active Steering Antenna Systems” until the company was acquired by AVX Corp. Most recently Vahid was the COO of Morse Micro Ltd,
focusing on WiFi Halow for the IoT market. Vahid has coauthored 18 Patents and has served on the Board of several public and private companies.

Kevin is an accomplished entrepreneur, real estate developer and investment executive with over 20 years of business experience. Kevin’s experience is vast and spans real estate development planning, investment strategy and analysis, M&A, capital structuring and operations management.

David Dull

David Dull

David served several roles through the growth and IPO of Broadcom Corp including General Counsel, Secretary and Vice President of Business Affairs.  David was a Partner in the law firm of Irell & Manella LLP.

Carl Mandel

Carl is Bitvore’s Cofounder. He was a seed investor in Broadcom and Access360 with multiple exits in other start-ups. Carl has extensive experience with data/info visualization and has several
patents.

ADVISOR

Armen R. Kherlopian, PhD

Dr. Armen Kherlopian is a world-class science and business leader as demonstrated by repeatedly driving new venture growth via gaining value from data. Moreover, his industry advisory experience is cross-sector including Global Fortune 100 Companies as well as government organizations such as the FDA and NASA.

Armen completed his M.S. and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Algorithms at Columbia University. He holds a PhD in Biophysics with a focus on Machine Learning from Cornell University and completed a fellowship in High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence at Princeton University.
