RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain data retrieval and processing pipelines using Java Spring Boot
- Extract data from different sources like REST APIs, MySQL, Snowflake, and graph databases
- Populate databases in Snowflake following best practices, ensuring proper performance and data integrity
- Perform ETL on both unstructured and structured datasets
- Use Python, Javascript, and Node to move and manipulate data throughout the system
QUALIFICATIONS

- ETL processes
- Version control systems like Git
- Object-oriented principles
- CI/CD
- Reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, Sisense
- Cloud development – Azure or AWS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of data analysis and data manipulation concepts
- Ability to work independently to find/research/resolve problems
THE WORK
- Technical oversight for a project including validating business requirements against application architecture and advising on solution design options
- Develop system specifications and design for secure, scalable applications
- Assist in delivery of technical components by applying the right estimation methodology, coding best practices and testing review
- Identification and implementation of innovation opportunities leveraging New IT capabilities (Next Generation Testing, Agile Delivery, Continuous Integration, APIs and Microservices) to drive improved cost, quality and speed for a project or program of work
- Strong technical and analytical skills and passion for data are required to drive the team in delivering innovative solutions
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
- A minimum of 8 years of hand-on experience in delivering and implementing technical solutions
- A minimum of 4 years of Agile experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience managing resources
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an dynamic, FinTech environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in AI and MLP
- Shape and debug new NLP and ML algorithms
- Set up strong foundational procedures for statistical data analytics and processing
- Extracting insights from messy, usually un-labeled, data across multiple languages
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate degree or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, or STEM degrees
- Good statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Track record of providing valuable insights from large, multidimensional datasets
- Good working knowledge of Data Science technology stacks including R, Python, Spark
- Comfort with software development standard practices, including version control, unit testing, and code review
- Strong ability to communicate and visualize findings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in large scale cloud-based data processing, such as AWS
- Over 3 years professional experience coding in Python or related
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- Interest in financial modeling of companies
- Up to date understanding of the state-of-the-art in NLP and ML methods
